The Local Area
Cardigan - Aberteifi
Just a 15-minute walk from the campsite, Cardigan is one of West Wales' most vibrant and characterful market towns — sitting on the banks of the Teifi with a great mix of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and galleries.
Eating & Drinking
For coffee and breakfast, Crwst is a local favourite. Brunch options include Food for Thought and Stiwdio 3. For evening dining, Yr Hen Printworks is widely regarded as one of the best restaurants in Wales, Mannucci's offers excellent Italian, Gain Pizza serves outstanding handcrafted pizzas, and The Copper Pot is a popular spot for steaks and burgers. A special mention for The Ferry Inn in nearby St Dogmaels — exceptional food with beautiful river views, and the beef served there comes straight from our farm.
For drinks, The Albion has cocktails with views over the Teifi, while The Black Lion, The Castle Inn, and The Grosvenor are great for a relaxed pint. Live music and entertainment can often be found at The Cellar. And don't leave town without picking up something from Cardigan Bay Brownies.
Exploring the town
Cardigan has a thriving independent shopping scene, with boutiques, craft shops, galleries, and local produce stores along the high street. A visit to the beautifully restored Cardigan Castle is well worth it for a glimpse into the town's rich history.
